Cakes and Cookies by Candace

This is one of the hardest posts I’ve had to make. Cakes and Cookies by Candace has been such a huge part of my life for over 10 years, and honestly, I never imagined it would grow into what it became.

 

This business has meant so much more to me than cakes and cookies. It gave me something to pour my heart into, introduced me to some amazing people, and honestly helped me get through some really hard times in my life. There were times when baking was my outlet, my distraction, and something that gave me a reason to keep pushing forward. I don't think I could ever fully explain how much the love and support from y’all has meant to me over the years.

 

I have started college to pursue my dream of becoming a teacher, and I recently accepted a job as a substitute teacher. As I continue working toward this new chapter, I've had to make the difficult decision to stop taking cake and cookie orders for the time being.

If you already have an order booked with me, please don't worry! I will absolutely be completing every order that's already on my books as planned.

 

This isn't necessarily goodbye forever! If I'm able to open up for holiday orders or summer orders in the future, I'll make sure to post about it here.

 

It's definitely bittersweet stepping away from something that's been such a big part of my life, but I'm excited to see where this new adventure takes me.

 

To everyone who has supported Cakes and Cookies by Candace over these past 10+ years, THANK YOU. For every order, every recommendation, every share, every kind word, and every bit of encouragement. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your special and huge life moments. I will forever cherish these memories.

 

Y’all helped turn something I loved into something bigger than I ever imagined, and I'll always be proud of what we built together.

 

This isn't goodbye forever. It's just time for a new adventure.
